I needed a break from telecommuting, household chores, yardwork. Luckily there’s some riparian green space a two mile walk from the house- open forest and old fields, a live creek where the dog can swim and I can toss little soft hackles for creek chubs and sunfish like I did when I was fourteen. It feels like turkey season out there, buckeye and box elder just starting to leaf out. Dutchman’s breeches and toothwort blooming.
