Dove season just started. Archery deer in another week, fall turkey at the end of the month. Slipped in between are a couple trout trips, a late season smallmouth float, a few walks for mushrooms and elderberries, pecans and pears from old trees in an abandoned field.
September is for public lands, and Backcountry Hunters & Anglers (BHA), has a whole host of programs and projects ongoing throughout the month- be sure to check in.
