Many species of fish exhibit temperature-dependent sex determination. If newly-hatched fish survive the heat then they may have a skewed sex ratio. Hotter temperatures exposures to hatchlings will dramatically influence future populations. Flounder populations in the Gulf of Mexico have a male bias and generally lower numbers, presumably due to a warming climate.
