One of the biggest challengers anglers of all stripes face is just finding places to pursue their passion. The problem is especially common in the West, where public roads are gated, barbed wire strung across streams, and litigious landowners patrol their property, confronting anglers and hauling them to court.
Groups like the Utah Stream Access Coalition have been working to reverse these trends, and ensure future generations of anglers are able to access what are a public resource. The organization is running an online auction with more than 250 items on the block, with products from Patagonia, custom built fly rods, pre-loaded flyboxes, and guided float trips on the Green River.
The auction runs through December 8th.
