
A yellow warbler watched me from the fencerow, in among the gooseberry and serviceberry, as I planted beans, peppers, tomatoes, and eggplant.
Dwarf crested iris is going, along with downy phlox. Columbine will start firing off in the next couple days, just in time for migrating hummingbirds. Things are emerging, feeding, moving- these early bloomers help get them going.
