Choose your own adventure.

Sunday mornings I start coffee. I top up the bird feeders, and jot down what visits. I journal. I listen to ragtime on the local radio station, figure out what needs done for the next twelve or sixteen hours. I try to carve out an hour or two to hop on here and see what others have written, and maybe write something of my own.

Best camping spots in Wisconsin. Best camping spots in Kentucky. Must-see camping spots in Tennessee. I understand the impulse to optimize everything. I get it. But I’ve stumbled across too many great places to think it’s wise.

There’s values in discovering your own favorite places, in exploring the blank pages of your own map, of just going and seeing what’s there. This life is your adventure- don’t outsource it to a listicle you read on the internet.
